SAGEUMPI - Seniors Achieving Greater Education

SAGE Book Club on ZOOM

with Barbara Pierce

Free

*You must be a SAGE or MSCN member to enroll in this class.

This book club meets once a month (normally the third Wednesay) on ZOOM to discuss the book of the month. Books are chosen by the members to cover 3-months worth of reading.  The person who suggested the book is the designated facilitator of the meeting.  They are responsible for questions and discussion points and any other surprises they may come up with.

April 24* - All Mortal Flesh by Julia Spencer Fleming - But nothing is as it seems in the small Adirondack town of Millers Kill, where betrayal twists old friendships and evil waits inside white-clapboard farmhouses. Russ and Clare struggle against the reach of the law, the authority of the church, and their own guilty hearts in All Mortal Flesh.

May 29* - Someone Else’s Shoes by JoJo Mayer - Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Nisha is determined to hang onto her glamorous life. But in the meantime, she must scramble to cope--she doesn’t even have the shoes she was, until a moment ago, standing in.

June 19 – I Shall Not Want by Julia Spencer Fleming - When a Mexican farmhand stumbles over a Latino man killed with a single shot to the back of his head, Clare is drawn into the investigation. The discovery of two more bodies ignites fears that a serial killer is loose in the rural town while Russ is plagued by the media hysteria, conflict within the police department, and a series of baffling assaults.

Hope to see you there. It is never to late to jump in and start reading with us.
