Free

with Remillie Norsworthy

Calendar Jan 7, 2026 at 10:05 am, runs for 24 weeks

Sign up is recommended so we can develop a contact list for emergencies and changes but it isn't required.

The Sargent Family Community Center and Seniors Achieving Greater Education will host a Cribbage Group for all skill levels starting January 7, 2026.  It will be held on Wednesdays starting right after Tai Chi – about 10:30AM.  Tables of 2, 3 or 4 will be set up depending on the day’s arrivals.  No experience? We’ll teach them.  An expert? We’ll challenge them. Remillie will teach one person to play Cribbage for One, if interested. Stop by at 9:30 AM for Tai Chi and stay for Cribbage at 10:30 AM.  It would make for a great morning of fun, challenge and staying healthy.  And, it’s all Free.

Fee is for the Sargent Family Community Center for fuel and will be determined by the mileage.  Lunch is on you. We will leave from the Sargent Family Community Center.

At the brainstorming session we held last fall to come up with ideas for classes, it was suggested that we learn about the history of Aroostook County towns.  The Sargent Family Community Center offered, immediately, to help us accomplish this goal by offering us a van and driver.

A committee was formed to map out where we are going and when so it covers the large number of miles in just 7 months.

Each trip will be a separate registration, fee and schedule. However, all the trips will begin and end at the Sargent Family Community Center and all registration and payments will be collected by them also.  Call 207-764-2545 to register or drop by during business hours.

Here is a tentative schedule:

  • April - Houlton Historical Society, a van tour of the city, lunch.
  • May - Oakfield and Island Falls
  • June - New Sweden and Stockholm
  • July - Ashland, Island Falls, and Patten
  • August - Eagle Lake & Portage
  • September - Grand Isle, Lille, and Madawaska
  • October - Caribou, Limestone, and Loring

Space is limited so we suggest registering as soon as possible with the community center.
